- with special attention on the children with separated parents.
The association is specialized on issues of children's rights, living care,
shared parenthood, child visiting rights, alimony, and custody.
The child´s best shall always come first.

wants to aid the authorities with its experiences. This to be able to enhance the routines and legislation concerning family issues.

wants to help parents to focus on solution on the child's best, and therefore try to prevent a conflict between the parents.
The goal is to as far as possible try to avoid drawn out custody battles. This goal we try to achieve through giving parents
support, information, counseling, and possibilities to contacts with other parents.
Association SÖNDAGSBARN ®
is a free independent non-profit organization that neither is bonded with a politician party nor have any religious denomination.
Three fathers and two mothers started the association in mars 1993.
We who works in the association are either parents, adults, divorced children or close relatives with own experiences of these issues.
According to our perception it is extremely important that the parents can separate their own conflict from the united parenthood and keep
the child out of the adult conflict during a divorce/separation. This is because the child should be hurt as little as possible.
The conflict of loyalty that hits the child during a divorce/separation between the parents often starts a feeling of being powerless
within the child. The child never carries the guilt between the parents' conflict and the child needs to be reassured of this to not
have to live with pangs of conscience or feelings of guilt.
A divorce/separation is a very painful experience for all people involved, children as well as adults.
All children have a right to both their parents!
